SECTION II: OBJECT OF THE CONTRACT
II.1) DESCRIPTION
II.1.1) Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority:
Pathology Courier Service, Day for the Heart of England NHS Foundation
Trust.
II.1.2) Type of contract and location of works, place of delivery or of
performance: Supplies.
Purchase.
Main place of delivery: Daily (Monday-Friday) collect reports from
Pathology Department, Birmingham Heartlands Hospital, Bordesley Green
East, Birmingham B9 5SS, Solihull Hospital, Lode Lane, Solihull, West
Midlands B91 2JL and Good Hope Hospital, Rectory Road, Sutton Coldfield,
West Midlands B75 7RR, UNITED KINGDOM, and collect samples, returning to
above.
II.1.4) Information on framework agreement: Estimated total value of
purchases for the entire duration of the framework agreement:
Estimated value excluding VAT: 300 000 GBP.
II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): To collect from
the hospital sites named above, reports which are to be taken to
pre-designated General Practices, Health Care Centres and commissioning
laboratory services within these area's, and collect sample and return to
the hospital.
This is a 2 year contract commencing 1.4.10, with an option to extend by a
further year.
Whilst all the delivery and collection points will be detailed in the
Tender Specification, along with times and times by which returns are to
reach the Pathology Department, the methodology and route planning will be
for the Tenderer to decide, so long as the time frames are ahered to.

only) -You can now access any attachments by clicking the "Settings and
Buyer Attachments" in the "Actions" box;
3. Responding to the tender - You can now choose to "Reply" or "Reject"
(please give a reason if rejecting) - You can now use the "Messages"
function to communicate with the buyer and seek any clarification - Note
the deadline for completion, then follow the onscreen instructions to
