SPAWAR Systems Center Atlantic intends to issue a sole source modification toexisting contract N65236-07-D-5120, which was awarded on a full and open competition basis, to DRS Systems, Inc., Parsippany, N.J. The contract, expires 22 August 2012, provides for a satellite-based internet-broadband service and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) network in support of deployed military personnel. Locations include Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as other non-Global Information Grid (GIG) operations in the European Command, Central Command, Pacific Command, and African Command Areas of Responsibility as well as the British Indian Ocean Trust Authority, and other unidentified locations supported by the SPAWAR Systems Center Atlantic, European Office. This Notice of Intent is NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The proposed ceiling increase of $78,000,000.00 will cover emergent requirements until the competitive, follow-on contract can be awarded. The SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic point of contact is John R.
