This is not a request for either a quote or proposal, or an invitation for bid. The intent of this pre-solicitation synopsis is to identify potential offerors for the Application of Safety Film on Glass Railings, Camp Smith, Oahu, Hawaii. The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, management, tools, material, parts, equipment, technical support and other items necessary to apply 8 millimeter clear safety film on tempered glass railings (approx. 145). The total area for application is approximately 1,005 SF. The safety film shall be applied on inner face (surface area only) of glass and secured to frame with structural silicone. The reason for applying the safety film is to prevent glass from falling upon breakage. Note: Glass railings are located inside of building stairway. Removal of glass from its frame is not required. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 238150 and the annual size standard is $14,000,000. This is a new procurement. It does not replace an existing contract. No information exists on prior contracts. Interested sources shall indicate that they are capable of providing the required services and submit the following: (1) Full name and address of the firm (2) DUNs number (3) A statement regarding your business size (e.g. 8(a), small business, large business, hubzone). No other information is required at this time. Based upon the responses received, the Government will determine the set-aside method for the procurement. This sources sought announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. An award will not be made on responses to this notice. This sources sought synopsis is not a Request for Quote (RFQ); it is a market research tool being utilized to determine the availability of sources prior to issuing an RFQ.
