VA Network 22 Logistics Office, Long Beach, California intends to negotiate a commercial FAR (Part 6) Sole source procurement with Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Inc. 115 Norwood Park S, Norwood MA, 02062. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1-only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, incorporates provisions and clauses as those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-37. A justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. This BOS announcement constitutes the only solicitation issued; a separate written solicitation will NOT be issued. Request for Quotation is RFQ VA-262-10-RQ-0067IM. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334516 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. This procurement is for the HCV Genotype 2.0 Assay (LiPA) for the VA Long Beach Healthcare System. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government shall consider all proposals received by 1:00 PM Pacific Standard Time November 25, 2009. Information received shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquiries shall be accepted.
