Trail Risk Assessment and Management Resource Manual

Trails risk assessment and management to address liability concerns are important components of the provincial trail network and the proposed trail designation program in Alberta. A risk management resource manual will assist not-for-profits trail operators in identifying and addressing issues of liability before they become a problem. Such a resource must look at the elements impacting trail management in Alberta(eg. legislation and regulation), include a risk assessment tool, provide recommendations to mitigate risk and provide a plan of action for implementation on recreation trails.
