The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka has received a Credit from the International Development Association towards the cost of Improving Relevant and Quality of Undergraduate Education (IRQUE) Project, University of Sri Jayewardenepura and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit payments under the contract for Supply, Delivery & Installation of Computers and Computer Accessories.
The Vice-Chancellor, University of Sri Jayewardenepura now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Supply, Delivery & Installation of Computers and Computer Accessories.
Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, dated January 1995 - revised in January and August 1996, September 1997 and January 1999, and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the Guidelines.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Deputy Director (Procurement), IRQUE Project, Finance Division, University of Sri Jayewardenepura and inspect the bidding documents at the office of the Deputy Director (Procurement), IRQUE Project of the University between 9.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. from 16th November, 2009 to 15th December, 2009.
A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on submission of a written application to the Deputy Director (Procurement), IRQUE Project University of Sri Jayewardenepura and upon Payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs. 2,000/ = payable to the Shroff of the University. The documents may be purchased until 2.00 p.m. on working days up to 15th December, 2009.
Bids must be delivered in duplicate to the address below on or before 16th December, 2009 at 2.00 p.m. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security as stated in paragraph two (2) above.
Late bids will be rejected. Bids shall be delivered to office of the Deputy Director (Procurement), IRQUE Project,: Finance Branch, University of Sri Jayewardenepura or sent under Registered Cover to be received by the Purchaser before the deadline to Deputy Director (Procurement), IRQUE Project, Finance Division, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Gangodawila, Nugegoda. The bids will be opened immediately after the bid closing at 2.00 p.m. on 16th December, 2009 in the presence of the bidders or their authorized representatives who choose to attend the bid opening.
