Applications are invited from reputed manufacturers or their accredited agents and contractors who wish to register themselves with the Central Bank of Sri Lanka for the provision of under mentioned Repairs, Maintenance and Contracts during the year 2010.Manufacturers/contractors who are already registered with the Bank should re-apply for registration.
Contractors who are registered with ICTAD and ACCSL only will be eligible to register for works on construction. Only those manufacturers /contractors who have been operating in their respective fields for at least three years should apply for registration. The paying office for money orders should be indicated as 'Colombo.
Application forms should accompany a non-refundable fee of Rs 250/= (subject to a maximum fee of Rs.500/= for both groups) by money order/Cheque drawn in favour of the "Secretary, Central Bank of Sri Lanka" for each group of items. (Eg: 1. Repairs and Maintenance works 2 Contracts),
Applicants who wish to register for more than one group or sub-group of items should send separate application forms for each group or sub group, which may be enclosed in one cover.
Quotations will normally be called from the registered manufacturers/contractors. The Bank however reserves to itself the right to invite quotation from non-registered manufacturers / contractors.
Names of those who fail to quote promptly when required or fail to complete the jobs on time and in conformity with the specifications as prescribed in the purchase order or who supply substandard repairs, maintenance works and contracts are liable to be expunged from the register.
Application-forms will not be issued. Applicants are advised to apply on a self-prepared application form as per specimen below:
The Bank reserves itself the right to reject any application received for registration whose credentials upon evaluation are found to be unsatisfactory.
All applications should be clearly marked "Registration Of Manufacturers And Contractors For 2010" on the top left hand corner of the envelope and forwarded under Registered Cover to reach the Secretary Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
