The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Pacific, Okinawa District seeks a contractor to provide and manage a 5-year (1 base &4 option years) full service playground removal and installation for the Okinawa, Japan District schools. The contractor shall provide playground design, removal, disposal, installation, equipment and rubber safety tiles.  Site layout and photos shall be provided by the Government.  Playground equipment and safety tile colors shall be coordinated with the Government prior to fabrication or manufacture.  Playground equipment will be International Play Equipment Manufacturers Associations (IPEMA) certified to ASTM F1487, Standard Consumer Safety Performance Specification for Playground Equipment for Public use. The district is composed of eight schools.  Projected period of performance to start around May 2010, if not sooner.  This shall be a competitive, unrestricted, lowest price technically acceptable source selection procurement in accordance with FAR 15.

All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency by the RFP closing date. Proposals shall be submitted as specified in the RFP. Award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 15. The Department of Defense requires all contractors to register in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to receive any contract award or payment. The CCR website is: http://www.ccr.gov.
