This announcement constitutes the only a request for sources sought; quotes are not being requested and a WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED AT ANOTHER TIME. Solicitation number HeadSetforMC-12W is issued as a request for sources. The NAICS Code is 334290; the NAICS size standard is 750 employees.

1. 140(ea) Headsets with following specs and modifications:
Dual Speaker in both cups
Over the head type band with top pad
Dual Cable-1 main coiled cord with U-174/U Connector-1 with computer interface lead
Dual volume control
Electret microphone on wire boom
Gel earseals
With storage bag
Requires 150 Ohm impedance on both the headset cups and the microphone. The additional mini stereo jack requires 19 Ohm impedance (standard for sound cards, etc.)

(Modify David Clark Model H10-56 or equal head set with:
Additional mini stereo jack with 19 Ohm impedance
Install 2 more speakers in the cups for the stereo input (total of 2 speakers in each cup(original 2 and 2 extra)
Volume for mission audio to be controlled by one knob and stereo audio input controlled by additional knob-both knobs provide mono audio control levels, i.e. neither provide a left-right balance control.)
