Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) is a science based statutory agency that develops food standards for Australia and New Zealand. FSANZ conducts dietary risk assessments that are supported by a large quantity of scientific data from two custom-built database and modelling applications.

FSANZ is planning to release a Request for Tender (RFT 2009-10/11) on 4 December 2009, for the development of a modelling and analysis platform to replace its legacy databases. Existing functions are to be combined with new capabilities into a single application. Required capabilities of the application include consolidated data storage, mining, processing, modelling, analysis and reporting.

The new system will be called Harvest and is expected to be in place by the end of June 2011.
