Subject: Purchase Request Number: SB1341-10-RQ-0030 Notice Type: Special Notice Synopsis: The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Acquisition Management Division, on behalf of the Information Technology Security And Networking Division , intends to negotiate with ESI North America, Inc from Bloomfield Hills , MI on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR Subpart 13.106-1 (b), soliciting from a single source, to procure software maintenance services . ESI North America provides all the services required by NIST which are described below: Required Service: � Multiphysics, ACE-CS-02-2007 � Electric Module add-on, ACE-S-05-2007 � Stress add-on for a single CPU, ACE-S-06-2007 � Maintenance for CFD ACE Base, product number ACE CT 01 200 � Period of Performance 11/30/2009 to 11/29/2010 ESI Group is the copyright holder and sole source provider for maintenance and support of ESI-CFD Scientific software applications NIST anticipates negotiating and awarding a firm-fixed-price type purchase order. Interested parties that believe they could satisfy the requirements listed above for NIST may clearly and unambiguously identify their capability to do so in writing on or before the response date for this notice. This notice of intent is not a solicitation. Information submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether competitive procedures could be used for this acquisition.
