RECOVERY: Construct Energy Efficient Administrative/Visitor Building Using Standard Floor Plan Design - ARRA Funded FFS Project Number R6AA (50%), Fiscal Year 2010 Funding Project Number E601 (50%), TAS::14 1613::TAS. THIS CONTRACTING ACTION IS ISSUED UNDER THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA). The upcoming solicitation will be posted under competitive 8(a) procedures. This solicitation will be available to Colorado 8(a) firms or those firms with a bona fide place of business within the geographical boundaries served by the Colorado SBA District Office. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) has a requirement for construction of a new visitor's center and associated exhibitry for the Rocky Mountain Arsenal, located in Commerce City, CO. The contractor will provide multiple engineering and craft disciplines necessary to construct a large visitor center and administration building. The facility and associated exhibitry shall be constructed in accordance with the approved U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service design drawings and specifications. A site visit WILL BE HELD with date and time listed in Section L of the upcoming solicitation. The site visit allows for an understanding of the work area and project requirements in order to examine the existing site conditions. GENERAL INFORMATION The estimated magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000.00 and $7,000,000.00. The total performance is approximately 365 days from the Notice to Proceed. The upcoming solicitation will be using NAICS code 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, with a size standard of $33.5M. The solicitation package is anticipated to be available electronically on or about 21 Dec, 2009 with an anticipated closing date of 10 Feb, 2010. Copies of the solicitation, specifications, and drawings can be obtained at http://www.fedbizopps.gov once available for issuance. This amendment changes the title of the previous posting to the above verbage. This amendment also changes the estimated magnitude to between $6,000,000.00 and $8,000,000.00. All other items remain unchanged.
