The Federative Republic of Brazil has received afinancing from the World Banktoward

the costof the SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENTPLAN AND COEXISTENCE  WITH THE POTIGUAR SEMI-ARID REGION- PSP, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Contract for Procurement of VelocityWater Meters Single Jet and Multi-Jet and Fittings. The Environment and Water Resources State Secretariat - SEMARH now invitessealed bids from eligible bidders for Procurement of Velocity Water Meters Single Jet and Multi-Jet and Fittings, according the Lot1 # Item 1) Velocity Water Meter Single jet, nominal flow (Qn) 0,60m3/h, (Qmax)1/2 m3/h, Qt = 48 l/h, Qmin = 12 l/h, NominalDiameter (DN) 1/2", class "B", with fittings and rotating register inclined 45°C;Item 2) Velocity Water Meter Multijet, nominalflow (Qn) 1,5 m3/h, (Qmáx) 3 m3/h, Qt = 22,5 l/h, Qmin = 15 l/h, Nominal Diameter (DN) 1/2",class "C", with fittings and rotatingregister inclined 45°C.

Qualifications requirements include: Manufacturer'sAuthorization; Documents

indicating fulfillment of at least two (02)contracts of similar scope and; Letter of

Reference from at least two (02) customerssatisfied with the guidance to future

operators and supply of spare parts; financial andaccounting statements to evidence

that theBidder has financial capacity to performthe Contract. A margin of preference

for certain goods manufactured domestically shallbe applied. Additional details are

providedin the BiddingDocuments.

Bidding will be conducted through the internationalcompetitive bidding procedures as

specified in the World Bank's Guidelines:Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA

Credits,(current edition), and is open to alleligible bidders as defined in the

guidelines.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain furtherinformation from the Environment and

Water Resources State Secretariat - SEMARH andinspect the Bidding Documents at the

address given below from 09:00 a.m. to 05:00 p.m. Acomplete set of bidding documents

in English and Portuguese may be purchased byinterested bidders on the submission of

a written application to the address below and uponpayment of a nonrefundablefee of

R$ 200,00 (two hundred reais) or in another freelyconvertible currency. The method of

payment will be direct depositpayable to the Secretaria do Meio Ambiente e dos Recursos Hídricos do Estado do Rio Grande do Norte (SEMARH), agency 3795-8,account number 30.017-9, Banco do Brasil. The document will be sent by airmail for overseas delivery or surface mailor courier for local delivery.

Bids must be delivered to the address below at orbefore 10:00 a.m. on January08, 2010. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will berejected.

They will be opened immediately thereafter, in thepresence of bidders' representatives, who choose to attend, at the address below. Late bids will be rejected.

All bidsmust be accompanied by a Bid Securityof:
