INVITATION TO BID


The Bacolod City Government through its Bids and Awards Committee invites all interested bidders and legitimate contractors to submit bid proposals for the project Road and Bridge at Gatuslao Ext. to connect back of Robinsons (Construction of 30 ln.m. Post Tension Mandalagan Bridge at Gatuslao Ext. connecting Brgy. 1 and Brgy. Mandalagan), Bacolod City.

The Approved Budget for the Contract (ABC) is EIGHTEEN MILLION FIVE HUNDRED EIGHTY THREE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED FIFTEEN PESOS & 45/100 (P18,583,315.45)

Bidding will be conducted through open competitive bidding procedures as specified in the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of R.A. 9184.

1. Availability of Eligibility requirements and Bid documents November 12-30, 2009 at the BAC Secretariat Office upon payment of Ten Thousand Pesos (P10,000.00)
2. Pre-bid conference November 18, 2009, 10:00 a.m.
at the BAC Secretariat Office, Bacolod City Govt. Center
3. Deadline of submission of bids and eligibility requirements December 1, 2009 - 10:00 A.M.

BAC shall use the "pass/fail" criteria to determine the eligibility of prospective bidders. The Bacolod City Government reserves the right to reject any application for eligibility or all bids, waive any required formality therein, and to make an award to the bidder whose proposal is most advantageous to the city government and will not assume any obligation to compensate bidder/s for any expenses that they may incur in the preparation of bids. A non-refundable protest fee of PhP185,833.15 ( 1% of ABC) and protest bond equivalent to 10% of the ABC (non-interest bearing) are required in case protest or disagreement with the action of the BAC, to protect the city from unnecessary delay and nuisance bidders. All particulars relative to the eligibility, submission and opening of bids and award of contract shall be governed by the applicable provisions and Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of RA 9184. Additional information shall be furnished upon request. All communications should be addressed to the Chairman, Bids and Awards Committee, c/o Secretariat, Bids and Awards Committee, NGC. The committee reserves the right to cancel or postpone the date of bidding upon prior notice to prospective bidders.
