This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this request is 70181-A-Q017 and is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC 05-37) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). This procurement is a small business set-aside. The applicable NAICS classification code is 334220 with size standard of 750 employees and PSC code is 5895. SPECIFICATIONSThe U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is requesting quotes for satellite radio telemetry tags to deploy on polar bears. LINE ITEMSPlease provide a detailed price schedule for the following items: Line Item 001: Ear Mounted PTT TagsQuantity: 20Price per item: $______________Total extend price for line item 001: $______________Salient characteristics: -ARGOS transmitter required; VHF beacon not required.-Wet/dry sensor preferred.-Small size and appropriate shape factor for mounting on ear. Should be square or circular. -Maximum dimensions are approximately 41x30x18 mm. -Maximum weight is approximately 33 g.-Must be encased in robust packaging (e.g., epoxy) to withstand stresses of animal behavior and -the marine environment, which means water-proof, salt-proof, and unbreakable.
