The Federal Medical Center, Lexington, KY intends to issue a solicitation for the December 2009 requirement for produce. Award date will be approximately November 30, 2009, with offers due by November 26, 2009, 2:00 PM EDST. Contract performance/delivery schedule will be from December 1, 2009 through December 31, 2009. This solicitation is restricted to 100% Small Business, FOB Destination. Deliveries will be made to the Federal Medical Center, 3001 Leestown Rd., Lexington, KY 40511. The contract type is a firm-fixed price. The Government reserves the right to make formal single or multiple awards. The Government will award to the responsible offeror (s) whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, that are considered to be most advantageous to the Government, with past performance and price considered, prices being rated higher that past performance. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/bids equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The solicitation will be made available on November 13, 2009, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to insure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Payment will be made using Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).
