Applications are hereby invited for the registration of Suppliers & Contractors for the following (groups of goods/services, suppliers & contractors who have already registered with the Bank are also required to re-apply for registration for the year 2010
Applicant For Registration Should Show Proof Of : 1) Membership of ICTAD (for building contractors only) 2) Registration under the Business Names. Business registration should be on or before 01.01.2009. 3) Having undertaken and satisfactorily executed orders for similar supplies and services for Government Departments, Statutory Bodies and reputed Private Sector Institutions (at least three years experience is necessary for registration.) 4) Having financial and other resources to execute orders of this nature.
Conditions: 1) The prospective suppliers of repairable / serviceable items such as Machinery and relevant equipment should have workshop facilities of their own to effect repairs whenever necessary. 2) The prospective suppliers who fail to quote promptly when requested or fail to make deliveries / provide services on time and in conformity with specifications / samples or as prescribed in the purchase order or who supplied substandard goods are liable to be expunged from the register, 3) The Bank reserves the right to accept or reject any application for registration without assigning any reason. 4) Quotations for supply of items/providing services will normally be invited from the list of Registered Suppliers. However the Bank reserves the right to invite quotations and purchase requirements form any other sources or register new suppliers anytime when necessary. 5) If registration is sought for more than one sub group of items, a separate set of forms should be submitted for each group. 6) If spouses or children of employees of the Bank are Applicants/Proprietors /Partners /Directors of Companies, such applicants/ suppliers/contractors are not eligible to apply for registration
Applications should be made on the prescribed set of forms obtainable from the Seylan Bank PLC, Supplies Department, No. 33, Sir Baron Jayathilaka Mawatha, Colombo 1 (3,c! Floor) on payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs. 2000/= in cash per set of forms for each subgroup of items. Prospective applicants are required to produce a letter of request on a letterhead mentioning he service and number of category. Application forms can be examined, free of charge. Acceptance of cash and issue of set of Application Forms: Betweerr9:00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. on business days of the Bank up 30tn November 2009 at the Supplies Department of the bank, No. 33, Sir Baron Jayathilaka Mw, Colombo-0') Acceptance of duly completed Applications: up to 151" December 2009. All applications preferably bound in a file and dearly marked "Registration of Supplies for the year 2010" on the top left hand corner of the envelope should be forwarded to the A.G.M. -Supplies Department at the under mentioned address.
