6. Contract description: Supply and set up of laboratory equipment to
food-related analytical reference laboratories in 12 SADC Member States
(Botswana, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi,
Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia and
Zimbabwe). The laboratory equipment includes HPLC, HPLC/MS, GC/MS, AA
spectrophotometer, microwave digester, electronic somatic cell count
system and other instrumentation.
7. Indicative number and titles of lots: There will be 1 lot for the
supply of all equipment.
8. Intended timing of publication of the procurement notice: December
2009.
9. Additional information: None.
10. Legal basis: EDF: ACP-EC Partnership Agreement signed at Cotonou on
23.6.2000 as amended on 25.6.2005 and in 2008 (Annex IV).
