RECOVERY: Synopsis: This project will be funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) and is subject to the reporting requirements of the act. The Department of the Interior, National Park Service (NPS) intends to issue Invitation for Bid (IFB) I1950090031, Restore Basement Floor at Lindenwald, Martin Van Buren National Historic Site, Kinderhook, NY. The Contractor shall be required to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and management necessary to repair the basement floor, patching and replacing plaster incidental and related work. The solicitation also contains an option to remove a column support and replace with steel beam to provide bearing to the building. This procurement is being issued as UNRESTRICTED and is therefore subject to Federal Acquisition Regulation 52.219-4, Notice of Price Evaluation Preference for Hubzone Small Business Concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238990 and the Standard is $14.0 million. The estimated cost range for this project is $25,000-$100,000. The intended contract will be a Firm-Fixed Price Construction subject to the Davis-Bacon Act with a completion time of 135 calendar days from date of award. The solicitation including all bid documents will be posted to the websites, http://www.fedbizopps.gov and http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about 27 November 2009. Downloading from the Internet is free of charge. The estimated date for the receipt of bids is 2:00 p.m. on 28 December 2009. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed or issued. It is therefore the contractor's responsibility to check the internet site daily for any posted changes to the solicitations plans and specifications. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration system in order to receive contract awards. As a security precaution, vendors must register themselves through the on-line CCR system. Be advised, failure to register in the CCR database makes a bidder ineligible for a contract award with the Park Service.
