Procurements are invited from persons or institutes with qualifications as per the terms and conditions mentioned below, to carry out the works stated in the schedule below. 1) Procurement applications will be issued up to 12.;00 noon on 25.11.2009 and completed applications will be received till 10.00 a.m. on 26.11.2009. Procurement applications will be opened at 10.30 a.m. same day. 2) Further details required can be obtained either by calling over at the office during working hours or by telephone No, 037-2243274. 3) The cover containing the bid documents should be marked "Construction of solid waste management building of Polgahawela Pradeshiya Sabha / Supply of Machinery" on the left-side top corner and can either be sent by registered post or deposited in the tender box kept at the office.
Terms and Conditions: Eligibilities: 1) Contractors submitting bids for the construction of the solid waste management building under the Pilisaru Project should have Institute for Construction Training and Development (ICTAD) registration in M6 or higher grade. (ICTAD registration is required only for the construction work) 2) The Solid Waste Management Project Building (compost building) should be constructed in accordance with the plans prepared by this Sabha. A copy of the relevant plan will be made available with the bid application. 3) The applicant should attach a detailed report about the building construction work valued for more than Rs. 06 million, carried out by him and on the owners of such buildings. 4) Bids will be opened at 10.30 a.m. on 26.11.2009 and bidders or their authorized representatives can be present at the occasion. 5) Procurement documents are not issued for the Multi-purpose Grinding Machine and the Sieve and reputed institutes can submit quotations for same during the dates mentioned above. 6) The Polgahawela Pradeshiya Sabha retains the complete power to either accept or.reject any quotation and its decision shall be the final.
