II.1.4) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): The Council is
seeking to bring together an experienced and appropriately qualified
professional design team for the development of new municipal offices
providing a gross floor area of between approximately 25 000 m² and 32 000
m² through the appointment on an individual basis of the following
principal consultants: Architect (Lead Design Consultant), Quantity
Surveyor, Structural Engineer, Mechanical and Electrical Engineer, CDM
Co-ordinator. This OJEU Notice relates to the requirement for a quantity
surveying service. Services are likely to include, but not be limited to,
those set out in the RICS Scope of Service. Whilst it is envisaged that
the procurement of the project will be way of a single or 2 stage Design
and Build arrangement, a final decision has not been made and the council
reserve the right to alter the building procurement strategy. Separate
OJEU notices will be issued for the other 4 disciplines listed above
(although not necessarily on the same day). When evaluating final bids the
Council may consider proposals from the same Applicant for 2 or more of
the above disciplines and reserves the right to take into account the
economic advantages (where indicated) of awarding 2 or more of the
principal design disciplines to the same Applicant when evaluating the
responses to Invitation to Tenders. Applicants wishing to bid for more
than one discipline should respond to each OJEU notice by completing a PQQ
