Note: Non-Refundable Tender Fee (with VAT 12% + NBT) (Rs.) :- 577.31.
Refundable Tender Deposit (Bid Security) (Rs.) :- 25,000/=.
Duration for Completion of Work :- 28 days.
ICTAD Grade for Road Construction :- M8 or above C8.
Direct Construction Cost (Rs.) :- 2,400,156.00.

The Chairman of the Procurement Committee, Chief Engineer, Chief Engineer's Office, Road Development Authority, P.O. Box 101, Asgiriya, Kandy will receive sealed bids for the following works from the ICTAD registered contractors and receiving will be closed at 12.00 hours on 27.11.2009.
A complete set of bidding documents in respect for each contract can be purchased from the Chief Engineer's Office, RDA, Asgiriya, Kandy by any interested eligible bidder who has qualified as above, up to 12.00 hours from 06.07.2009 to 26.11.2009 on payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs. 500/= + NBT 3/97 + 12% VAT (ie. Rs. 577.31).
Relevant documents shall be attached to prove validity of ICTAD registration for 2009 (required ICTAD grades for the jobs as mentioned above).
The bid must be accompanied with a refundable deposit for an amount as above for each work and receipt of the refundable deposit shall be attached with the original tender. The bid shall be valid Nos. 01 to 04 for a period of 90 days (Ninety days) and No. 05 bid shall be valid for a period of 28 days (Twenty eight days) from the date of bid opening.
Bids received without above refundable deposit, valid ICTAD registration for 2009 and eligible ICTAD grade will not be considered.
Sealed bids must be dispatched in duplicate either by Registered Post or to be deposited in the "Tender Box" provided at the Chief Engineer's Office. Road Development Authority, P.O. Box 101, Asgiriya, Kandy at or before 12.00 hrs. on 27.11.2009.
Tenders will be opened at the same address at 12.30 hrs. on the same day. The bidders or their authorized representatives can be present at the bid opening time.
