Bid Security :- Rs. 85,000/= (Rupees Eighty Five Thousand).
A Non-refundable fee of Rupees Two Thousand rive Hundred (Rs. 2500/).

The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka has received a Credit from the International Development Association towards the cost of Improving Relevance and Quality of Undergraduate Education (IRQUE) Project (IBG)/University of Ruhuna and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the contract for Supply, Installation, Commissioning and Testing of Computers & UPS.
The Vice Chancellor, University of Ruhuna now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Supply, Installation, Commissioning and Testing of Computers & UPS.
Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, January 1995-reyised in January-August 1996 and September 1997 Is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the Guidelines.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Deputy Director/Procurement and inspect the bidding documents at IRQUE Project Office (LTS), University of Ruhuna, Wellamadama, Matara. (E-mail: directorirque@admin.ruh.ac.lk) on working days Between 9.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. from 09/11/2009 to 07/12/2009.
Complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the Deputy Director/Procurement, IRQUE project Office (LTS), University of Ruhuna, Wellamadama, Matara and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Rupees Two Thousand rive Hundred (Rs. 2500/-) to the Director/LTS, IRQUE Project Office, University of Ruhuna. The documents may be purchased until one day before the deadline for submission of bids as given in paragraph below.
Bids must be filled, marked "Tender for Supply, Installation, Commissioning and Testing of Computers & UPS" IFB No. IRQUE/RUH/IBG-03/NCB/EQ/2009/14, IRQUE Project Office on the left hand corner of the envelope and should be delivered to the address below on or before 2.00 p.m. on 08th December 2009. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security.
Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 2.15 p.m. oil 08th December 2009, Immediately after the bid closing.
