SECTION II: OBJECT OF THE CONTRACT
II.1) DESCRIPTION

II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): Oxfordshire and
Buckinghamshire Mental Health NHS foundation Trust are looking to appoint
a suitably experienced contractor to maintain the grounds and gardens of
its sites and that of its external customers spread across Oxfordshire and
Buckinghamshire. Property types range from health centres to community and
mental health hospitals to office blocks. The contract will initially be
for 3 year term with the possibility of annual extensions up to a maximum
total of 5 years.
The contractor is required to provide a comprehensive planned and reactive
full horticultural service that is responsive to seasonal weather and
growing conditions in order to:
a) maintain an aesthetically pleasing landscape that is both functional
and complementary to the site and local environment throughout the year;
b) maintain the grounds to facilitate the smooth running of core Trust
operations including ensuring access to the facility at all times;
c) maintain the grounds in such a way as to promote a positive image of
the Trust to all patients, visitors and staff; and
d) maintain safe, logical and clear circulation routes across the site
that are accessible to all bona fide patients/visitors.
Works are to include but not limited to: regular grass cutting, weeding,
planted areas, tidying and litter picking, hedge cutting, care of sports
fields, landscaping, some tree works, autumn and winter works including
gritting.

— You can now access any attachments by clicking the “Settings and Buyer
Attachments” in the “Actions” box.
3. Responding to the tender:
— You can now choose to “Reply” or “Reject” (please give a reason if
rejecting),
— You can now use the ‘Messages’ function to communicate with the buyer
and seek any clarification,
— Note the deadline for completion, then follow the onscreen instructions
to complete the PQQ/ ITT,
— There may be a mixture of online & offline actions for you to perform
(there is detailed online help available). You must then publish your
reply using the publish button.
