Buildings and Associated Services.

II.3) SHORT DESCRIPTION OF NATURE AND QUANTITY OR VALUE OF SUPPLIES OR
SERVICES: This is a Prior Information Notice (PIN) for information only.
It is not a formal invitation to tender. The Council is reviewing its
current Joint Venture Agreement for Repairs and Maintenance to Housing and
Public Buildings. The purpose of this PIN is to highlight the arrangement
to the market so they can be tender ready. Housing arrangements and Public
Buildings arrangements will be separated in the new contract. Islington
Council is considering options for the procurement of all non-housing
responsive repairs, cleaning and various Facilities Management service
delivery contracts. The packaging of the new arrangement may therefore
change to include, amend or exclude services currently covered as part of
the repairs and maintenance transition. The non-housing services may
include responsive repairs to council owned municipal and commercial
buildings, and cleaning of council owned municipal buildings and some
schools. The Council is planning to utilise the Restricted Procedure for
this process (subject to change). Organisations who wish to apply should
look out for the Contract Notice to be published early in 2010.
Expressions of Interest will be required to the Contract Notice in order
to be considered on the Council’s electronic tendering system. The Council
will expect the chosen provider to offer value for money and an excellent
service to our residents. Owing to the limitations on the lots 'field', we
are unable to tick yes without defining how many lots. We anticipate this
contract to have lots, but we have not decided how many at this stage.
Estimated cost excluding VAT: 55 000 000 GBP.
