INDEFINITE DELIVERY INDEFINITE QUANTITY (IDIQ) CONTRACT TO PROVIDE INTERIOR PAINTING CONSTRUCTION SERVICES AT KADENA AIR BASE AND VARIOUS US MILITARY INSTALLATIONS, OKINAWA, JAPAN.


DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES. The contractor shall provide all management, tools, transportation, equipment and labor for interior painting construction services of Military Family Housing (MFH) and other government owned facilities at Kadena Air Base and other US Military Installations on the island of Okinawa, Japan. Work includes preparation and painting of interior walls. This work also includes, but is not limited to preparationg of existing concrete, drywall, concrete masonry walls, ceilings, doors and frames, including trim, galvanized metal, steel, wood cabinets, floors; stair wells stairway handrails, pipe, pipe railings, gratings, metal, metal fabrications, grilles, air diffusers, return air grilles, etc; Common areas and Multi-purpose rooms in all high rise towers in a manner that will maintain a satisfactory facility condition and present a clean, neat and professional appearance. The contractor shall be responsible for painting all attached and detached storage space(s) in MFH units. The contractor shall be responsible for painting utility rooms/closets, mechanical room/closets, water heater rooms/closets, indoor air handling unit rooms/closets in MFH units.

Paint will be provided by the Government for Military Family Housing projects. Paint for other-than-Military Family Housing project will be provided by the contractor.

The solicitation for this project is expected to be issued in December 2009. The date, time, and meeting place for the pre-proposal conference will be identified in the solicitation.

All work shall be accomplished in strict accordance with the contract specifications and subject to the terms and conditions of the contract.

Magnitude of this project is between ¥544,984,500 Japanese Yen ($5,000,000) to ¥1,089,969,000 Japanese Yen ($10,000,000).

NOTE: THIS PROJECT WILL BE PERFORMED IN THE COUNTRY OF JAPAN, AWARD CAN ONLY BE MADE TO FIRMS LICENSED AND AUTHORIZED TO PERFORM WORK IN THE COUNTRY OF JAPAN
