REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

1. This request for expressions of interest follows the procurement notice for this project that appeared in Development Business No. 645 of 31st December, 2004.

2. The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has received a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of Local Government Support Project (LGSP). It is intended that part of the proceeds of the credit will be used to cover eligible payments under the contract for the provision of consultancy services for Development of Property Rates Database Management System for Dar es Salaam Local Authorities under the LGSP. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.

3. The City Council Tender Board now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the above services.

4. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures; description of similar assignments– name of assignment, name and contact address of client and period; experience in similar conditions; and availability of appropriate skills among staff).

5. A Consultant will be selected in accordance with procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers, May 2004, revised October, 2006.

6. Interested consultants may obtain further information at the following address during office hours from 07:30 to 15:30 hours local time from Mondays to Fridays:- The Project Manager/ Coordinator, Dar es Salaam City Council, Morogoro/ Sokoine Avenue, P.O Box 9084, DAR ES SALAAM. 7. Expressions of Interest in writing in plain sealed envelope must be submitted by registered post, or by courier service, or by hand, to The Secretary, Council Tender Board, Dar es Salaam City Council, P.O. Box 9084, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on or before 14:00 hours local time on Thursday, 26th November, 2009. Expressions of Interest must be clearly marked “STATEMENT OF EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR TENDER NO: LGA/018/2009/2010/C/41 FOR THE PROVISION OF CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR DEVELOPMENT OF PROPERTY RATES DATABASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR DAR ES SALAAM LOCAL AUTHORITIES. NOT TO BE OPENED BEFORE 14.00 HOURS LOCAL TIME ON 26TH NOVEMBER, 2009."

8. Expressions of Interest received late will not be considered.
