REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTERESTS

This Request for Expression of Interest follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in Development Business of August 17, 2009.

The Government of Azerbaijan has received a Loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and International Development Association and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this Loan for the Consulting Services for the Review and Revision of Geometric and Structural Design standards and Specifications for Roads and Bridges and Development of Road Maintenance Standards and Maintenance Methods.

The objective of the consulting services is:

- To revise and prepare the technical standards for geometric and structural design, specifications, and for maintenance of roads and bridges.

- The development and elaboration of the geometric and structural standards for each technical class of roads based on the existing classification, including specifications.

The “Azerroadservice” OJC of the Ministry of Transport now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services.

Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills, etc.).

Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.

A Consultant will be selected based on QCBS method in accordance with the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers, May 2004 revised October 2006. The works are expected to commence not later than April 2010.

Interested consultants may obtain further information at the address below from 10:00 to 16:00 hours.
Expression of Interest must be delivered to the address below not later than 11:00 am on 04 December, 2009.
