and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS) aims to accelerate the drive for
excellence in the learning and skills sector, building the sector’s own
capacity to design, commission and deliver improvement and strategic
change. This will help realise our vision that every learner acquires the
skills, knowledge and appetite for learning, living and working and that
every provider is valued by.

LSIS creates and manages a range of sector development programmes and
services, designed to support leaders, managers, governors, teachers and
other practitioners across the full spectrum of the learning and skills
sector. LSIS focuses on continuous quality improvement within areas such
as organisational and individual development through coaching and
consultancy, leadership and.
Management, teaching and learning, e-learning, equality and diversity,
skills for life, learning and learner support. There will also be
increased emphasis on development support for management skills, resource
utilisation and sustainability. Furthermore, new agendas include community
cohesion, duty for economic and social wellbeing and leadership of place.
We are seeking expert individual consultants to work credibly and
successfully with sector clients to develop and deliver this challenging
portfolio. Individuals will need to demonstrate their experience and
thorough understanding of:
· the learning and skills system in England and/or;
· parallel market sectors (either within education or beyond) where the.
Knowledge and skills gained could be considered to be both relevant and
transferable.
Successful individuals will be awarded a Framework Agreement for 12 months
initially (from April 2010 to March 2011) with options to extend for up to
a further 24 months.
