Procurement of tractors
Contract G/ICB-05
1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in Development Business, issue no. WB 4261-710/07 of August 21, 2007.
2. The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan has received a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development toward the cost of Forest Protection and Reforestation Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the Contract for G/ICB-05 «Procurement of tractors». This contract will be fully financed by the Republic of Kazakhstan.
3. The Forest and Hunting Committee of Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders to supply the following goods:
Lot № 1 «Wheel tractor with frontal grinder (wood chipper)» - 2 items;
Lot № 2 «Caterpillar fire tractor (fire truck tractor)» - 2 items
4. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits (May 2004 edition), and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.
5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Documents at the following address:

6. Qualification requirements include: experience in manufacturing or supplying of similar goods minimum during the last 2 years.
Bidders must be financially stable.
A margin of preference for goods manufactured domestically shall not be applied. Additional details are provided in the Bidding Documents.
7. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English and Russian may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the address above in Project Coordination Unit from 09.00 till 17.00 hours.
The Bidding Documents will be sent by regular mail or a courier. To receive a bidding document with a Courier an advance payment should be made by a Bidder to the Courier. Bidding documents shall be pouched only upon receipt of the payment by the Courier for delivery services. Bidding documents may also be sent by e-mail.
8. Bids must be delivered to the address below before 15:00 o’clock on December 22, 2009. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in person. All bids must be accompanied by Bid Securities in the amounts described below:
Lot № 1 – 3000 (three thousand) US dollars, or the amount equivalent in convertible currency;
Lot № 2 – 3000 (three thousand) US dollars, or the amount equivalent in convertible currency.
