Note: Registration Fee (Rs. 100 + VAT).

Applications will be received by me up to 3.00 p.m. on 23.11.2009 for the registration of Suppliers and Contractors for the provision of under mentioned supplies and services for the year 2010.
Registration fee will be charged as follows for each section when registering for supply and service requirements. Applicants may submit applications for one or more sections with separate registration fees. Application should be prepared in accordance with the specimen given below.
Conditions :-
Procurement committee reserves the right to call quotations and make purchases from sources other than the registered suppliers.
The registration of the suppliers who do not submit quotations as stipulated or do not supply goods on time or do not comply with the conditions when submitting quotation will be cancelled without prior notice.
All applicants should state their VAT registration number.
Separate applications should be submitted for each supply and service. Name of the relevant supply or service should be written on the envelope enclosing the applications.
Applicants who are not registered for VAT should submit a copy of letter issued by the Commissioner of the Inland Revenue stating that they are not subjected to VAT.
Advance payment will not be made for supplies and services.
Payments will be made after the supply of goods and services. A period of 30 days should be granted to make the payments.
Should have telephone or fax facilities.
When registering garages / service stations for the repairing, tinkering, painting and servicing of motor vehicles, following requirements will be considered and only the institutes that fulfill them will be registered.
1) Proximity to the head office.
2) Floor area of the garage.
3) Tools and Machinery available.
4) Staff (with skills and experience).
5) Security of the vehicles referred for repairs.
6) Telephone and Fax facilities.
7) Accessibility for repairs.
8) Past records.
A copy of the business registration should be attached.
Should furnish evidence of the availability of human and material resources for the provision of goods and services efficiently.
Applications addressed to the Chairman, Pradeshiya Sabha, Wennappuwa could either be sent under registered post or hand delivered to receive before 3.00 p.m. on 23.11.2009. Payments should only be made in cash or cheques. Cheques should be drawn in favour of the Secretary, Wennappuwa Pradeshiya Sabha. Further details can be obtained from the Management Assistant (Supplies / Services) during working hours.
