This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.

The attached Performance Work Statement (PWS) will outline the procedure for procurement of Occupational Health medical examinations required for the Colorado Army National Guard (COARNG) full time (permanent, indefinite, and temporary) work force, both DA civilians and federal technicians working at 11 locations throughout the state of Colorado. The contractor must be able to provide services Tuesday through Friday, either by traveling to or having Occupational Health Medical Offices (at a minimum) at the following locations:

Aurora or Denver (Northeast), CO
Grand Junction, CO
Colorado Springs, CO

The COARNG will require approximately 75-100 Medical Surveillance examinations per year, includes all locations. This number will fluctuate, based on availability of funding, National Guard Bureau assistance, and deployments.

Occupational medical examinations are performed to prevent work-related health problems by assessing the health status of individuals in relation to their work and by making medical recommendations regarding placement, accommodation, and exposure controls. To meet legal and federal regulatory requirements, the health of hazard-exposed workers must be monitored to determine if work related problems are occurring. A list of Potential Occupational Exposures by Occupational Group/Series is enclosed. This list not complete or comprehensive in nature, but should be considered as examples of well known occupational exposures for specific jobs.
