The USDA-Forest Service, Region 8, Southern Region, has a need for nursery services to grow containerized Shortleaf, Longleaf, and Loblolly Pines seedlings along with containerized wiregrass. Seedlings and grass will be supplied to Forests throughout the Southern Region located in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. An estimated 3.8 million seedlings are to be grown. The Government will furnish enough seed to grow the desired number of seedlings based on current germination test results. Shipment of seedlings may begin as early as October 1, 2010 continuing through December 15, 2010. Seedling inventory and inspection may begin as early as April 1, 2010.
