The objective of the activities to be implemented through this component of UNDP’s work with the Iraqi justice institutions is to, in partnership with both the High Judicial Council (HJC) and the Ministry of Justice (MoJ); provide skilled expertise and training that will achieve the following objectives:
1) Increased computerization of court documents, through a case management system and other mechanisms, and ability by court staff to use these documents in their electronic form;
2) Increased access to electronic sources of legal research materials and ability by justice actors to use these electronic information sources;
Establishment of modern IT systems, including provision of hardware and software, which will provide the necessary means for electronic record-keeping, case management, and research

The scope of work shall include:
1. Consultations and research as part of needs assessment
2. Training on the additional topics listed above.
3. Development and implementation of a database on violence against women.
4. Creation of websites for the HJC, three pilot courts, and MoJ.
5. Establishment of an email system for the HJC.
6. Assessment of software and equipment needs for the pilot courts, the HJC, and MoJ
