Applications are invited from Government Departments, Government Owned Business Undertakings, Public Corporations, Reputed Suppliers, Local Agents, Manufacturers, Dealers, Business Organizations and Contractors who wish to register with the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka for the supply of under mentioned items / Services for the year 2010.
Separate applications should be made for each item/service and if registration is sought for more than one,' item/service, separate applications may be forwarded in the same envelope. A non-refundable fee of Rs 1,000/ = should be paid for the registration for each item/service. A Bank Draft with validity of 90 days The University reserves the right to accept or reject any application. Quotations for items/services will normally be called from the Registered Suppliers but the University reserves the right to call quotations from other sources to obtain competitive offers.
The Suppliers registered for the year 2010 should agree to offer credit facilities for a period of at least 60 days. If this condition is violated, even after registration, such suppliers will be blacklisted.
Application for the Registration of Suppliers 2010" should appear clearly on the left-hand corner of the envelope containing application/s for registration. Applications should be addressed to Senior Assistant Bursar/Supplies, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka" and mailed by Registered Post to reach him on or before 03rd December 2009.
Applicants should forward a copy of the relevant Business Certificate, Name of Banker/s (with particulars of accounts), and Names of Institutions. Names of Owners and Telephone and Fax Numbers with whom the applicant has business dealings
If supplier is claiming VAT, the VAT certified Certificate should be attached with the application. If the supplier not claiming VAT, a letter from the Inland Revenue Department has to be attached with the application. If the supplier is exempted or less rate payment for Withholding Tax (WHT) by the Commissioner General of Inland Revenue the certified certificate should be submitted with the application. Those who do not; submit the above certificates and incomplete applications will be rejected.
