The U.S. Census Bureau intends to procure lodging in the Washington Metropolitan Area for the Federal-State Cooperative for Population Estimates Meeting on September 13-15, 2011. Lodging is required for Sixty (60) participants as follows: 60 sleeping rooms on Monday, September 12, 2011; 60 sleeping rooms on Tuesday, September 13, 2011; 60 sleeping rooms on Wednesday, September 14, 2011; and 5 sleeping rooms on Thursday, September 15, 2011. Most participants will arrive on Monday, September 12, and depart on Thursday, September 15. The accommodations must have the following: Metro Accessibility and Full Service Restaurant. The U.S. Census Bureau reserves the right to conduct an on-site inspection of offered facilities. Award will be made on a best value basis in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Lodging rate must be equal to or less than Government per diem rate. All responsible sources that can meet the requirements and provide items as listed above may respond to this solicitation by submitting cost and technical proposal, hotel contract, and descriptive literature to Lisa Safewright via email to lisa.r.safewright@census.gov or fax to 301-763-4624 or 301-763-4149.
