GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE


The Government of Indonesia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Health Professional Education Quality (HPEQ) Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, related services and consulting services to be procured under this project.

The HPEQ Project’s objectives would be to strengthen quality assurance policies governing the education of health professionals in Indonesia through:

1) Rationalizing and assuring competency focused accreditation of public and private health professional training institutions;

2) Developing national competency standards and testing procedures for certification and licensing of health professionals, and

3) Building institutional capacity to employ results based grants for encouraging use of accreditation and certification standards in the development of medical school quality.

Goods to be procured using ICB includes: computer equipments and skills lab equipments. Other goods and minor works to be procured using NCB or other suitable Bank’s method of procurements. Services to be procured include Project Management Consultant for Procurement, Financial Management, and Monitoring and Evaluation. Consultant services will be procured using QCBS method.

Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines : Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, May 2004, revised October 2006, and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Guidelines. Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the World Bank’s Guidelines : Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers, May 2004, revised October 2006.

Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid under the World Bank’s international competitive bidding (ICB) procedures and for contracts for consultancy services will be announced, as they become available, in UN Development Business and dgMarket and local newspaper Media Indonesia.

Interested eligible bidders who wish to be included on the emailing list to receive invitations to prequalify/bid under ICB procedures, and interested consultants who wish to receive a copy of advertisement requesting expressions of interest for consultancy contracts, or those requiring additional information, should contact the address below.
