II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): Rhondda Cynon
Taff County Borough Council wishes to commission the Retail and
Hospitality Programme element of the Welsh European Funding Office,
Convergence Project called Bridges into Work.
The project aims to engage, support and prepare economically inactive
participants, including those that are unemployed or on incapacity
benefit, in the most deprived areas, to acquire the appropriate skills to
become job ready, and able to progress onto further learning or
sustainable employment.
It is envisaged that the Retail and Hospitality Programme will allow
participants to access a specific vocational training sector that will
enhance their chances of securing employment within the industry.
An essential requirement of the Successful Tenderer(s) will be to
demonstrate and provide match funding for the project.
The Tenderer is required to submit a completed Contract Particulars
section in respect of each or one of the 2 lots, being:
Lot 1: 322 310 GBP (161 155 GBP Grant + 161 155 GBP Match) awarded to 1
Company.
Lot 2: 161 155 GBP (80 577,50 GBP Grant + 80 577,50 GBP Match) awarded to
2 Companies.
Contracts to establish the Bridges into Work Retail and Hospitality
Programme may be awarded in relation to lot 1 or lot 2.
The contract duration is 23 months with the option to extend for up to 12
months.
