II.1.4) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): The Authorities
have been awarded 1 300 000 GBP capital funding from the Department of
Health via the National Treatment Agency to develop a comprehensive Tier 4
Project. The pricing for the Housing Related Support element of the Tier 4
Project should be within the range of 100 000 GBP - 125 000 GBP per annum.
The Tier 4 Project Service will be based in the boundary of Newcastle Upon
Tyne and will provide accommodation in conjunction with community
treatment, rehabilitation and housing support, in an illicit drug-free
environment with a range of structured interventions to address drug and
alcohol misuse, including, but not limited to, abstinence-orientated
interventions. A range of agencies will provide all of these
interventions. The successful Tenderer will be expected to work in
partnership with these agencies to provide this service.
