Note: Registration of Vehicle Suppliers for the year 2010 :- Hiring of (1) Motor Cars (without driver and fuel) - (800 - 1200 CC), (1300CC - 1600CC) with A/C, (2) Vans (without driver and fuel) - 12-15 seater (with Single & Dual A/C).
Payment of a non-refundable documentation fee of Rs. 575/= (inclusive of VAT).

Sealed offers are invited from interested parties, registered vehicle suppliers or vehicle hiring companies for hiring of the under mentioned categories of vehicles to the Sri Lanka Ports Authority during the year 2010.
Application forms could be obtained from the Engineering Works Branch, Engineering Division, Sri Lanka Ports Authority, No. 45, Leyden Bastian Road, Colombo 01, on Payment of a non-refundable documentation fee of Rs. 575/= (inclusive of VAT) up to 12.00 hrs on 23.11.2009.
Offers shall be enclosed in sealed envelopes with the words 'Registration of Hiring Vehicle Suppliers for the Year\2010' written at the top left hand corner of the envelope and deposited in the tender box kept at the above address, before 10.00 hrs on 24.11.2009. Tender will closed at 10.00 hrs on 24.11.2009 and offers will be opened, soon after closing of the tender. Tenderers or their authorized representatives are allowed to be present at the opening of the offers.
Employees of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority, their spouses or unmarried children are not permitted to apply for the above registration and vehicles owned by such person / persons shall not be supplied to the SLPA by the hiring contractors in the event hiring contractor is found to have supplied such vehicle, action will be taken to cancel the registration of the contractor and to place him under the list of defaulted contractors of the SLPA.
