01) Rs 4000/- (+ 12 % VAT Charges) for works up to Rs 500000/-
02) Rs. 5000/- (+ 12 % VAT Charges) for works above Rs 500,000/-

Applications are invited from Manufacturers, Suppliers and Contractors to be registered as Suppliers and Contractors, for the provision of under mentioned goods and services, for year 2010.Contractors: (1) Works less than Rs. 500,000.00 (ii) Works over Rs. 500,000.00
(Building construction, construction of roads, tarring of roads, fillings with rubble, water supply schemes etc)
Institutes and persons intending to be registered as contractors should submit documents to prove that they have successfully carried out contractual work equal to the relevant values, in the Institute for Construction Training and Development or Sri Lanka, National Construction Contractors Association or government departments, statutory boards, local government institutes, along with the worth certificates.
Suppliers should pay Rs. 750/= with 12% VAT charges for each and every subject as registration fee and contractors should pay -
Rs 4000/ = (+ 12 % VAT Charges) for works up to Rs. 500,000/ =
Rs 5000/ = (+ 12 % VAT Charges) for works above Rs. 500,000/ = .
Application for registration should be submitted to the Wattala Pradeshiya Sabha before 16.11.2009 along with the receipt obtained for the payment of relevant charges, either by cash or Cheque drawn in favour of Chairman, Wattala Pradeshiya Sabha. Postal or Money Orders will not be accepted.
Registration application forms can be obtained from this office and if applications are sent by Registered Post, the cover containing the documents should be marked "Registration of Suppliers - 2010" on the left-side top corner.
