The Socialist Republic of Viet Namhas received a credit fromthe InternationalDevelopment Associationtoward the cost of Influenza Control and PandemicPreparedness Project, and it intends to applypart of theproceeds of thiscredit topayments under the Contract for Procurement of Special vehicles for outbreak investigation (ICBB1.2.6). 2. The Central Project Management Unit (CPMU) now invites sealedbids from eligible and qualified biddersfor Procurement of Special vehicles foroutbreak investigation. 3. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB)procedures specified inthe World Bank's Guidelines:Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, May 2004, revised October 2006 andare open to allbidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in theGuidelines. 4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from CPMU and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address (1)given below from Monday through Friday from 08h00 to 11h30 and 13h30 to 16h30. 5. Qualifications requirements include availability of local after sales service and spares; average annual sale of vehicles over the past three (3) years of at leastUSD1,000,000-equivalent: minimum working capitaland access to credit of USD500,000-equivalent. A margin of preference for goods manufactured domesticallyshall be applied.Additional details are provided in the Bidding Documents. 6.
