SECTION II: OBJECT OF THE CONTRACT
II.1) DESCRIPTION:
II.1.1) Title attributed to the contract by the contracting entity: Urban
Waste Water Sampling Programme.

Main place of performance: Set up and maintenance of auto samplers on site
and colection of 24 hr composite samples at up to 500 sites within Severn
Trent area. May also include the provision of autosampler hardware.

II.1.4) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): Provision of an
annual sampling programme to comply with the Urban Waste Water
Regulations. Provide and maintain an appropriate number of auto samplers
to Environment Agency Monitoring Certification Scheme (MCerts) - Replacing
previous E32 standard. To collect 24 hour composite samples from
approximately 300 Sewage Treatment Works within the Severn Trent area. The
frequencies for collecting samples are 4, 12 and 24 times per annum per
site dependent upon population served. Samples are to be collected and
transferred to STWs nominated laboratory for analysis. The total number of
samples per annum is approximately 5 000. It is our intention to award the
contract for 3 years with two additional option periods of 1 year
(totalling 5 years). Bids will be only be accepted for the whole contract.
