SECTION II: OBJECT OF THE CONTRACT
II.1) DESCRIPTION

Tender for the supply of crushed stone/gravel for forest road
construction.

II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): Coillte has an
annual construction program of approximately 230 km (new and upgrade) of
unbound forest roads and associated ancillary works in various locations
throughout the country. Coillte invites tenders for the supply of
gravel/crushed stone for forest road construction and maintenance to
various forest sites throughout the country.
Coillte will establish a framework agreement and award contracts for their
ongoing requirements.

Coillte will not be responsible for any costs, charges or expenses
incurred by candidates or tenderers, whether or not a contract is awarded.
Contract award will be subject to approval by the competent authorities.
Coillte reserves the right to admit a number of companies to the framework
agreement. The tender panel will operate as follows: on foot of tenders
received in response to this call for competition Coillte will admit at
number of companies to the framework agreement. As and when requirements
arise thereafter, contracts will be awarded on the basis of the original
tenders submitted or on foot of mini-tender competitions, at the
discretion of Coillte. On every occasion, the original award criteria will
be used.
