The Department of Education intends to apply the sum of Philippine Pesos Twenty-Six Million Two Hundred Forty Thousand (PhP 26,240,000.00) being the Approved Budget for the Contract (ABC) to payments under the contracts for the Supply and Delivery of Armchairs and Teachers' Tables and Chairs to Various Public Elementary and Secondary Schools Nationwide Under the 10% CY 2008 Allocation for Cooperatives of Persons With Disability, as follows:

The Department of Education Central Office, through its Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) II, now invites bids for the supply and delivery of above-mentioned goods. Bids received that exceed the ABC shall be rejected at bid opening. Late bids shall be rejected. Evaluation and award shall be made on a per lot/region basis. Bidder must bid for all items in a lot/region, otherwise, the bid for such lot/region shall be rejected. Bidder may bid for one, more than one or all of the lots/regions.

Prospective bidders must have completed a similar contract within the last five (5) years from date of submission and receipt of bids with an amount of at least 50% of the ABC to be bid.

Bidding is restricted to Filipino citizens / sole proprietorships, organizations with at least sixty percent (60%) interest or outstanding capital stock belonging to citizens of the Philippines, and to citizens or organizations of a country the laws or regulations of which grant similar rights or privileges to Filipino citizens, pursuant to RA 5183 and subject to Commonwealth Act 138.

Open competitive bidding will be conducted using the non-discretionary pass/fail criterion, evaluation and post-qualification procedures specified in the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of R.A. 9184. The Bidding Documents may be inspected or purchased at the above-mentioned address upon accomplishing a bidder's information sheet and payment in cash of a non-refundable fee in the amount of Philippine Pesos Three Thousand and 00/100 (PhP 3,000.00) only by interested bidders. It may be viewed at the website of the PhilGEPS or the DepED Central Office.

DepED reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to annul the bidding process, or declare failure of bidding at any time prior to contract award without thereby incurring any liability to the affected parties.
