The Drug Enforcement Administration announces its intent to solicit proposals for Information Security Support Services. The solicitation will be a Full and Open procurement and will be issued on or about November 12, 2009. The solicitation does not commit the Government to pay any cost incurred in the submission of proposals or to contract for the services. This amended posting is a courtesy reminder of instructions regarding proposal submission in response to solicitation DJD-10-R-0003 while an emergency or unanticipated event interrupts normal Government processes so that proposals cannot be received at the office designated for receipt of proposals by the exact time specified in the solicitation.
Since Federal Government offices in the DC metropolitan area are closed due to inclement weather, proposals are due the first work day on which normal Government processes resume, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clause 52.215-1 entitled 'Instructions to Offerors-Competitive Acquisition' as incorporated into Section L of the solicitation.
Reference:
FAR 52.215-1 (c)(3)(iv): If an emergency or unanticipated event interrupts normal Government processes so that proposals cannot be received at the office designated for receipt of proposals by the exact time specified in the solicitation, and urgent Government requirements preclude amendment of the solicitation, the time specified for receipt of proposals will be deemed to be extended to the same time of day specified in the solicitation on the first work day on which normal Government processes resume.
