REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST


The Government of Indonesia has applied for financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Jakarta Urgent Flood Mitigation Project (JUFMP) and intends to apply a part of the proceeds of the financing provided for consultant services. The services include:

1. Construction supervision of dredging works and rehabilitation of river embankments, pump, rack and bridges.

2. Supervision and monitoring on the implementation of Environmental Management and Monitoring Plan (RKL/RPL).

3. Supervision of the implementation of the Land Acquisition and Resettlement Action Plans (LARAPs).

4. Advisory Services to the Project Management Unit (PMU).

5. Establishment of JUFMP website.

The Consultant will work closely with Ministry of Public Works and Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta counterparts.

Directorate General of Water Resources (DGWR), c.q. Director of Rivers, Lakes and Reservoirs, now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing with the services. Interested consulting firm must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services. This information should include brochures, name and description of major assignments with similar nature that have been successfully completed in the last 10 years, availability of appropriate skills among staff and their qualification. Consultant may associate in joint venture to enhance their qualifications.

A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers, May 2004, revised October 2006.
