Under the direction of DSTO staff, implement Image Processing algorithms, and contribute to improving and developing the DSTO's in-house developed Generic Real-Time Automatic Target Acquisition System (A2G GRATAS), used for modelling and simulation of Imaging Infrared Missile Seekers. The proposed work programme is: Using the A2G GRATAS tool, complete a study of real-life tactical data including publication-ready summaries and graphics. Specific Image Processing modules developed to process this data will be carefully incorporated into the software framework of the tool; enhance and modify the A2G GRATAS tool towards a Closed-Loop design, allowing it to more effectively interoperate with other DSTO software systems: implement techniques for advancing the functional decomposition of the system's software architecture, enabling conversion of sub-systems to C++ modules and integration of additional C++ sub-systems (using MATLAB tools); implement algorithms to advance DSTO's understanding of sophisticated Imaging Missile systems performance in demanding scenarios; and provide technical support for A2G GRATAS, supporting DSTO Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile Anti-Surface Warfare project team and schedule as directed. |
