The Military Sealift Command requests proposals for the time charter of one self-sustaining ship with a minimum capacity of 900 TEUs capable of carrying containers laden with ammunition in support of the U.S. Air Force Prepositioning Program. The ship shall be U.S. Flag upon delivery. The anticipated performance start date is 01 September 2010. The contract will include a base performance period of approximately one month, three one-year options and a final nine-month option. It is anticipated that the Request for Proposals (RFP) will be issued on 09 Nov. 2009. The unrestricted competitive solicitation will include a separate classified attachment and corresponding classified evaluation factor. An active SECRET Facility Clearance is required to view this attachment.
