RECOVERY: WHITMAN MECHANICAL GRAPPLE PILING THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS AWARDED CONTRACTS FOR THIS WORK UNDER THE WALLA WALLA MECHANICAL FUELS IDIQ SOLICITATION NUMBER R6-14-07-109949. This ARRA project has three separate types of work, identified as follows: Mile 9 and Barnard units are grapple piling of logging and pre-commercial thinning slash for 218 Acres; Broman units are grapple piling of Juniper thinning slash for 268 Acres; and the Granite unit is slash busting of existing slash and reduction of small diameter regeneration trees is 22 Acres. Additional, Optional Item is 38 Acres of Barnard. This fuel project is comprised of units located in four separate areas on the Whitman Ranger District of the Wallowa Whitman National Forest, Oregon. All work will be competed amongst those contractors awarded a contract previously under the Wallowa Whitman Mechanical Fuels multiple award IDIQ. The contractor shall be responsible for providing all labor, tool, material, and equipment necessary to perform all work in strict accordance with the specification(s) and drawing(s). Anticipated period of performance is after notice to proceed. The Government intends to place a firm fixed price task order on or before 30 Nov 2009. The resulting order shall utilize funds provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009. Inclusion of unique provisions required implementing the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency requirements by the successful offeror will be required.
